Summer Camp-(5-12yr) 2025 Summer Gymnastics Camp Who: Girls & Boys Ages: 5yr.- 12yrs When: June 2- August 1 --That is 9 weeks of Camp Drop off begins at 8:30am at no additional charge. Pick up is at 12:00 for Half day or 3:00pm for full day. (you may drop off/pick up at any time) Gold Coast Gym offers girls & boys a full day program. Summer camp is geared for ages 5yr.-12yr.old. Our coaches will teach campers the basics of gymnastics using our "Developmental Program". New skills will be introduced upon mastery of the basics. No prior expereince needed! 9-12: Gymnastics Class Time- will include- Event training, tumbling, trampoline, open-workout, Games 12-1: Lunch & Rest Time- Please pack lunch in cooler/lunch box.(Please note-we don’t provide microwave or refrigerator for lunches) 1-3: Fun Time Activities-will include: Gymnastics events, challenges and many more In-House gymnastics Activities!! Attire: Please make sure that Summer Campers wear proper gymnastics attire! Girls: Wear a one-piece leotard. Bare stomach or mid-drift, T-Shirts , jean shorts are not permitted. * Tight fiting shorts may be worn over leotard-No Jewelry, hair pulled up and away from the face and bare feet. Boys: Tight fitting athletic shirt—like Under Armor/Champion. Stretchy shorts. No Buttons or zippers. No jewelry or watches, bare feet. Why is proper gymnastics attire important? Safety is the first priority. Baggy clothes, loose-fitting attire could get wrapped on equipment or in the way of the child or coach. Jewelry- only post earrings are acceptable. Hoops or any type that hangs below the earlobe is unsafe! We have a selection of gymnastics attire or both girls & boys We prefer that all electronics be left at home!! Cell phones are not needed as we have phones in the gym. Due to digital technology, uploading capabilities and social media, campers may not have cell phones, and/or similar media devices at camp. These devices could be a threat to a camper’s safety and privacy. We take the safety and privacy of our campers very seriously and know that you do, too. Please be aware that some families do not want their child using I-pads and devices. They may not agee with the games/video's being used/played. Participants may bring books, activity pads, Summer busy work! Please note our Summer gymnastics camp is for the recreational gymnast! Mini Dragons-Preschool Class Mini-Dragons 2 & 3 years (Parent Assisted) Our "Mom/ Dad & Me" is a playful gymnastics class centered around age-appropriate skills using tot-sized gymnastics equipment, with a strong emphasis on socialization and group involvement. Beginning gymnastics skills as well as fine and gross locomotor skills will be learned. Themed lesson plans make each week a new and exciting class. This class offers an excellent opportunity for the parent and child to learn new activities together. This class will also help foster the independent child by preparing them for the next step into the TumbleDragon program Students need to enter a class that is correct for their age/level. Mini Dragon class is for students 2 yr and 3yrs old. Please understand that every student is getting older as the year progresses! As a parent, you may feel your child needs to be in the older class because they "will be turning" the next age soon. (example 2 turning 3) We agree to advance is important...but it MUST be at the correct time. Your child's safety is very important to us! There are many factors to advancing. Is the child physically, mentally, and socially ready? Is the next level appropriate? What is the age of the next class? It would be unsafe for us to place a new student in a class who does not meet the class requirements. If you have questions on which class your child should enter we will gladly help! Tumble Dragons 3 to 5 years old Tumble Dragons 3 to 5 years old No parents are needed here! Children learn new gymnastics skills each week in our themed lesson plans. Physically challenging skills give children stronger bodies and sharper minds and a clear understanding of their bodies' capabilities and limitations. Obstacle courses change weekly. Children learn skills on the floor, balance beams, bars, and trampoline. New challenges make this class pure FUN! Students need to enter the correct class for their age/level. Ex: Tumble Dragons 3-5 yr old--child MUST be 3yrs to enter the class-"almost 3's (or 2.75) will be enrolled in the Mini-Dragon class. Ex. Almost 5's and 5 yr olds NOT in Kindergarten will need to go into the Tumble Dragons class. If the coaches feel the child has the skills/ability to advance- they will alert the front desk. Please understand that every student is getting older as the year progresses! As a parent, you may feel your child needs to be in the older class because they "will be turning" the next age soon. (example 4 turning 5) We agree to advance is important...but it MUST be at the correct time. Other students are also ageing up--for example- 9 yr old in 3rd grade and getting ready for 4th gr. No transfers/credits to the following Term. Contact the front desk to schedule class. Make-ups are not guaranteed, are based on class availability, and must be prescheduled. Make-ups are non-transferable, no credits, and carryovers to the following Term. Team Gold Coast Dragons Competitive Team The Gold Coast Dragons Competitive team competes locally and through out the United States. Girls and Boys Level 1-10 teams compete in the USA Gymnastics and Florida Gold AAU Gymnastics Leagues. Our dedicated coaching staff is Safety Certified and are professional members of USA Gymnastics and AAU. Gold Coast has produced many local and national level champions. A number of our gymnasts have gone on to successful collegiate gymnastics careers.
